SKS International Division: Pub Quiz Brought Together Chemistry Enthusiasts at Maxine
On June 11, the Legendary International Pub Quiz vol. 2 took place at Maxine Karaoke in Helsinki, drawing participants from both the international and local chemistry communities. The event combined cheerful, team-based chemistry-themed trivia with a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged networking and spontaneous conversation.
The first English-language chemistry pub quiz was held in February at Bruuveri, also in Helsinki, and exceeded expectations with over 60 participants in attendance. The concept was brought to life by Robert Luxenhofer, Jan Deska, Pekka Joensuu, and Steward Makkonen-Graig.
The June follow-up received a warm welcome, even with a slightly smaller crowd due to approaching summer holidays. Robert Luxenhofer hosted both quiz shows with his cheerful manner, entertaining the audience and keeping the mood lively throughout the evening.
The pub quiz brought together light-hearted fun, scientific enthusiasm, and meaningful connections—once again proving that at SKS, bonds aren’t just for molecules!
